Clayton S. Garrett
Clayton is the lead associate for our firm's commercial, construction, and
consumer litigation. Upon
being licensed by the State Bar of Texas in November 2007, Clayton began his
professional career working for Huron Consulting, reviewing documents for
privilege and other filters for law firms and attorneys. In that position,
Clayton learned how to analyze documents to go beyond face value and discover
meanings and importance of documents in civil litigation matters. Clayton joined us in May 2008 as
Benjamin's second associate!
Clayton brings many talents and skills to our firm. He has quickly
impressed us with his ethical and moral attributes, dedication to his craft, and
ability to be a team player. Clayton's professional goals have been driven
by his interest in public service. While in law school, Clayton worked for
St. Mary's Civil Justice Center as a Student Attorney, 45th District Court Judge
Barbara Nellermoe as a Judicial Intern, the Civil Division of the United States
Attorney's Office for the Western District of Texas as an Assistant United
States Attorney Intern. Clayton also worked for a boutique estate planning
firm.
Clayton works well with our staff to assist Benjamin in our non-collection
litigation cases. He also attends court settings in our collection
litigation cases whenever there is scheduling conflicts or overflow.
Clayton's desire to do a great job while also considering the moral and ethical
implications of our work gives our clients confidence that we are handling their
problems with skill and care. With Benjamin's guidance and support,
Clayton has already faced some of the largest law firms as opposing counsel in
our cases. Clayton's learning curve has skyrocketed since joining us, and
we appreciate his gentle, caring, and sincere focus on representing clients with
integrity and compassion!
